I have a 1999 Chevy Blazer and the car won't start. I think it has something to do with the security system.?
I hear a ticking noise, it sounds like the security system. This is the only key I got. It takes for a few minutes then stops for about 10 seconds then ticks again. Is there a way to disable the security system so I can start my car again ? my car wont start at all.

Does the car start, then stop again right away? If so, then your security computer has malfunctioned and needs to be reflashed. The only place that can do it is a dealer. I've never heard of a car with a security system fault ticking, but stranger things have happened. Reference:ASE certified parts...

1999 Blazer, cruise control stopped working.?
It stopped suddenly, no intermittent operation. Checked fuses and cables to the control box seem alright. It's hard to open the control box (its in a tight spot). Is there anything else to check before opening the box??

Check to be sure that the cable coming from the transmission for the speed sensor is not damaged or unplugged.

That 1999 transmission is full of parts and oil. Don't think there's enough room for an 1989 transmission in there too. It probably will bolt up, but the drive shaft may not work, and the plugs and connectors will be different

1999 Chevy Blazer Alarm Problems?
Does anyone know how to remove or deactivate the immobilizer on a 1999 blazer! Its a Texalarm if that helps.. It will turn over but the alarm pads will not work and the alarm will not turn the security off.. I have tried all new batteries in the fobs and tried the disarm code but nothing.. If anyone knows how to remove the alarm or how to bypass...

Anthony you should call one of the car audio shops in your area. These shops install these type of systems and are familiar with how to repair and bypass if necessary. Most of these stores also have mobile service so they will come to you and help correct this problem.Best of luck.
