What services are recommended for a 2004 Chevy Avalanche. It has 52,000miles, 4X4, Z71. Its running good and I want to keep it that way. I'm a little concerned...there is some belt slipping noise but only when I turn sharply?? Any suggestions? Thanks!!!

2004 avalanche truck, stuck in low 4 wheel drive? HELP PLEASE!?
I have a 2004 avalanche truck, and it has always had problems with the 4 wheel drive buttons. Sometimes when I turn the truck on it is in 4 wheel drive for no reason. It is an automatic truck, with the buttons on the left side of the steering wheel. We have tried to fix it by disconnecting the battery, taking out the fuses for the 4 wheel drive...

I own a shop, and think this; These lights come on for a reason, and I strongly suggest you take it in for an inspection of the brake pads & shoes. 68,000 is about the life of these parts, and there are many reasons for the light/lights to come on.
