From what I've heard and read -- not very. I don't think anything justifies getting such an old, slow, cramped, cheap car just for the name.

The only person that can rightly answer your question is a BMW technician that you should hire to take a look, possibly hook up a scanner and road test the vehicle. No amount of long distance sight unseen advice good or bad can do justice to the actual condition of the car.
