Yes it is the same engine. VW owns Audi, Lamborghini, and Bently so they share engines are many parts.

They don't have S8 in America. According to Audi website they have only S4, S5 and S6. http://www.audiusa.com/us/brand/en.html Just to clarify, that comment is about 2010 models. You can get 2008 or 2009 for around $90 000.
