I enjoy driving both for the Jag has style and the A8 great sturdiness. I suspect the A8 will be more reliable but it will be expensive to replace many of its major parts. Both are heavy on petrol at a time when its cost is so prohibitive.

Your friend's dad is an idiot, S8's can be found for around $50,000 as th Blue Book states. To answer your 2nd question, Audi does have great suspension improvements over the past 2 years or so, Lexus and BMW also provide good a good general smooth feel.
