Dim computer screen 99 A4?
The computer screen is hard to read during the day, but no problem in less bright times. It doesn't adjust with the dash lights. I dug out the original literature, and there's supposed to be an ambient light sensor that controls this. Anybody know where this is, and how to check it? http://www.dnaspeedometers.com/aud.htm It's going out on you, try giving these guys a call. common with Audi's and the red screen does not adjust with the dimmer switch. switch in the pillar is to deactivate the motion sensor.

No, there never was a 4 bolt main 327 block from the factoy. However there were aftermarket kits to convert a 2 bolt main block to a 4 bolt main block.

Looking for cam, exhaust and computer performance. I'm keeping my throttle body. Just looking for a little pep for now. It's a 4.3l v6.

If it's the TBI system, edelbrock makes a matched cam and intake set, several companies make short tube headers, the roller rockers for a late model 5.7 (centerbolt style heads) will fit, holley makes a good throttle body, or a couple of mods to the stock unit and an adjustable fuel pressure...
