u cant add that feature, its all electrical and ur seats probably dont have the connections internally in the seats. or u would have the switch already installed in the dash or console to activate. Reference:VW service writer for dealership (same car) without the extras

I am looking at a 2001 Audi A4 and on the...?
dash between the speedometer and rpm gage there is a screen. That tells you if your in drive, park, etc. It also says something about the break......If that screen is blurry, so blurry its nearly impossible to read. What could be wrong with it and how much would it be to get fixed ?

Call Audi and ask them about the problem, if they've seen it before, etc. They should tell you. However my husband has an '09 A6 thats had a TON of problems and Audi has not been very helpful with any of them. We've had a pretty terrible time with their service department.
