My 2.8L gets about 25 driving to and from work, about 30 on the highway, and 20ish when Im at school and only take small trips. The 1.8 is going to do a little better than this, but it also has less power. If your going to be modding it, that can be changed with a chip.

How do I reset the radio on 2000 audi a4 quattro 2.8L? It won't work and says "safe" after battery died.
The repair shop (not an audi dealer) looked in the manual and when they could not find the unlock code, called the dealer. The dealer said they would unlock it for $80. That seems like a steep price considering all that happened was that the battery died.

Look in the back of the owners manual, or in with the factory paperwork in the glovebox, there should be a card or paper with a code number printed on it; this is your radio security code. It prevents somene from being able to use your radio in their car if it's stolen. If you can't find the card...

did u check the trunk on the right (passenger) side? thats where its at for the a6. not sure about a4

I went to test drive a 2000 audi a4 1.8t and on the dashboard right between the odometer and the rpm there is a screen that has a bunch of words but there are lines in it and it is all messed up and i do not want that to be saying something important and i can not read it. the salesmen said that it just tells you the radio station, but i do not...

The panel you are referring to is called the "instrument cluster," which AB had accurately provided a description for. Here's the deal...the salesman is full of crap, the radio station has NOTHING to do with the instrument cluster... A few things: the instrument cluster displays warning messages...
