The 2011 Kia Sorento is an in-between-sizes crossover with V-6 and third-row options, which makes it a direct competitor for the successful Toyota RAV4, which is less outwardly sleek, and can get pricey in V-6 trim-and still totes a ridiculous rear-mounted spare tire that cuts into cargo room and makes the side-swinging tailgate heavy. The new Chevy Equinox is close in concept and in execution to the Sorento, and it's appealingly fresh inside and in driving feel, though the exterior styling's a little dull.
