Saab - The Car Connection
Saab

9-3
Saab's quirky entry-level cars remain largely unchanged for 2000 besides the addition of the high-performance Viggen. The Viggen has a host of body and chassis updates, combined with a 230-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo four. All other 9-3s now have a 200-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged engine standard, regardless whether the car is equipped with a manual or an automatic transmission. All models except the Viggen get new 15-inch alloy wheels for 2000.

9-5
Saab's Special Vehicle Operations breathed on the larger 9-5 as well for 2000. The new 9-5 Aero gets the same 230-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo four as the Viggen, as well as the usual complement of chassis, body and interior upgrades. The 9-5 sedan and wagon continue to be available with a 200-horsepower 3.0-liter light-pressure turbo V-6 as well as a 170-horsepower 2.3-liter turbocharged engine. All models are available with either an automatic or a manual transmission.
