Daimler is about to give the SL a major facelift, due for launch at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2008.
Previous spy shots showed cars with a lot of disguise or buried in snow. These photos show the next SL without any disguise - the few pieces of black tape having been removed from the car by computer.
Aside from a revamped interior, the biggest change will be the CLS-style headlamps together with a new bumper and the new single-bar grille. The SL also gets new LED lights and a new bumper.
Engines are likely to remain the same as in the current model, but rumors are suggesting a turbocharged version of the six-cylinder engine with 354 hp. At the top of the line will be the SL65 AMG with 612 hp.
