Enthusiast fans of the ferocious WRX STi AWD sport compact will be happy to learn of the special edition version Subaru is offering for ’07. The WRX STi Limited comes in White Pearl Urban Gray Metallic only (with 400 copies of each scheduled for production) and is designed to be more visually stealthy, but every bit as fast as its big-winged sibling. The regular STi’s huge decklid spoiler is deleted in favor of a more discrete piece, along with black powder-coated brake calipers replacing the easy-to-spot gold and red-painted calipers used on the standard WRX STi. Heated front seats and a power moonroof are also part of the Limited package, and a WRX STi first. Sirius satellite radio is available optionally. The 293-horsepower “boxer” 2.5-liter, turbocharged and intercooled engine returns, teamed to a six-speed manual gearbox, driver-controllable center differential, and sport-tuned suspension.
