Rumored
mid-cycle updates for the Titan may include a diesel engine option as well as
more standard power for the gasoline V-8 engine. Offered only in four-door King
Cab and Crew Cab body styles, Nissan's full-size Titan pickup comes wrapped in
brash styling that's highlighted by a large and forceful front grille. Its
5.6-liter, "Endurance" V-8 engine generates 305 horsepower and 379 lb-ft of
torque; it drives either the rear or all four wheels via a five-speed-automatic
transmission. The Titan boasts a maximum towing capacity of 9,400 pounds and
offers an available factory-applied bedliner, bed extender and an innovative
customizable cargo tie-down system in the rear. It comes standard with anti-lock
brakes, a CD stereo, cruise control and a tire-pressure monitor. Front-side and
side-curtain airbags, a navigation system with park-assist proximity sensors, a
rear-seat DVD entertainment system and a premium Rockford Fosgate audio array
are optional. Vehicle Dynamic Control system with a locking differential,
sunroof on Crew Cab SE models and a Tow Package on XE versions are among the
big-ticket options. Dual-zone automatic air conditioning and power folding
heated mirrors with integrated turn signal indicators are standard on the LE; SE
and LE audio systems can now play MP3-formatted CDs.
