The
mid-size Raider pickup truck is based on the Dodge Dakota -- with
Mitsubishi-specific configurations, including a standard five-year/ 60,000-mile
basic warranty, sportier styling cues, and unique interior treatments. As a new
model for Mitsubishi in 2006, changes for '07 are minimal. There is one extended
cab model and three double cab models, with a V-8 SE double cab on deck for
later in 2007. All ride on a fully
boxed, hydroformed, and roll-formed steel frame. A 3.7-liter V-6 engine that produces 210
horsepower and 235 lb-ft of torque is standard on the LS and DuroCross, with a
4.7-liter V-8 engine that generates 230 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque
optional. Both rear- and four-wheel-drive versions are offered. The Extended Cab
version has a 6.4-foot bed; double cab versions have a shorter 5.3-foot bed. The
LS double cab gets a new Power and Convenience Package for '07 and Sirius
satellite radio with six month pre-paid service. All models get standard A/C,
16-inch wheels and anti-lock brakes.
