Montero
While the full-size Montero SUV continues status quo for 2005, the automaker has already announced that this luxurious and rugged vehicle will be dropped from its lineup at the end of the 2006 model year. The four-wheel-drive vehicle is amply powered by a 3.8-liter V-6 that uses a sophisticated throttle-by-wire system and is mated to a five-speed Sportronic automatic transmission that can be shifted through the gears like a manual. Front-side airbags, four-wheel-disc anti-lock brakes, air conditioning, a tire-pressure monitor, cruise control, power accessories, keyless entry, and a CD stereo all are standard. The top Limited version includes amenities like a power sunroof and heated leather seats. A rear-seat video entertainment system is optional.
