Galant
The front-drive, mid-size Galant sedan is roomy, attractively styled, and rides on a rigid structure for refined ride comfort and handling characteristics and possesses a quiet interior. A 160-horsepower, 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine is standard in the base version, while a 230-horsepower 3.8-liter V-6 is included in LS and GTS versions. Four-wheel disc brakes come standard, with anti-lock brakes included on the two highest trim levels. The top GTS model adds more aggressive chassis tuning and 17-inch alloy wheels and performance tires for improved handling prowess. A long list of standard features includes front-side airbags; leather seats, heated side mirrors, a power sunroof, and a Sport Package are optional. The Galant sees relatively few updates for 2006.
