While the midsize Sable will eventually drive off into the sunset, both the front-drive sedan and wagon models will continue in the line for at least another model year as a value-leader. For 2005, a leather-and-wood-trimmed steering wheel becomes newly standard on top LS models, while a new LS Premium Package includes leather upholstery, automatic climate control and automatic headlamps. Available for 2005 in a slimmed-down product line that encompasses GS and LS sedans, and LS wagons, two 3.0-liter V-6 engines are offered, with each mated to a four-speed automatic gearbox. Anti-lock brakes are optional on the GS and standard on the LS. With its optional rear-facing third-row seat, the LS wagon can hold as many as eight passengers.

How does the
TCC Rating work?
The TCC Rating is a clear numeric rating value based on a 10-point scale that reflects the overall opinion of our automotive experts on any vehicle and rolls up ratings we give each vehicle across sub-categories you care about like performance, safety, styling and more.

Our rating also has simple color-coded “Stop” (red), “Caution” (orange),
or “Go” (green) messages along with the numerical score so you can easily understand where we stand at a glance.

Our automotive experts then also collect and show you what other websites say about these different aspects of any vehicle. We do this leg work for you to simplify your research process.
