2005 updates for Mercury's version of the full-size Ford Crown Victoriainclude an improved front-passenger airbag that can adjust its deployment according to the presence and size of the front passenger. The car's dashboard comes with revised woodgrain appliqués, and new wheel choices and two-tone paint schemes are offered across the line. A 224-horsepower 4.6-liter V-8 engine that drives the rear wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission powers this roomy and traditionally styled sedan. Dual exhausts included with the optional Handling Package boost the engine output to 239 horsepower. Standard equipment includes four-wheel-disc anti-lock brakes, speed control, power mirrors, locks and windows, air conditioning, a CD stereo, and an eight-way power driver's seat with lumbar support.

How does the
TCC Rating work?
The TCC Rating is a clear numeric rating value based on a 10-point scale that reflects the overall opinion of our automotive experts on any vehicle and rolls up ratings we give each vehicle across sub-categories you care about like performance, safety, styling and more.

Our rating also has simple color-coded “Stop” (red), “Caution” (orange),
or “Go” (green) messages along with the numerical score so you can easily understand where we stand at a glance.

Our automotive experts then also collect and show you what other websites say about these different aspects of any vehicle. We do this leg work for you to simplify your research process.
