B-Series
Mazda's sturdy compact pickup truck line stands for 2005 with only minor changes. Cosmetic details aside, it's a Ford Ranger, offered in three versions, each coming powered by a separate engine. The base B2300 comes powered by a 143-horsepower 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that works hard to get the vehicle up to speed. The B3000 offers a 3.0-liter V-6 that produces a bit stronger 154-horsepower, while the top B4000 adds muscle with its 207-horsepower 4.0-liter V-6. A five-speed-manual transmission is standard across the line, with a five-speed automatic optional. The B-Series is available in both rear- and four-wheel-drive versions, and in regular and extended Cab Plus bodystyles.
