SC430
Coming equipped
with a power-retractable hardtop, this sleekly styled rear-drive roadster
continues for 2005 with only minor updates. The smallest Lexus is nonetheless
powered by the automaker's largest passenger-car engine, a muscular 4.3-liter
V-8 that generates a full 300-horsepower and drives the rear wheels via a
five-speed automatic transmission. Four-wheel disc power anti-lock brakes,
traction control, Vehicle Skid Control, and 18-inch alloy wheels and Z-rated
tires help contribute to the SC 430's well-balanced handling characteristics. A
long list of features includes front-side airbags dual-zone automatic air
conditioning, a premium Mark Levinson audio system, a navigation system,
tire-pressure monitor, a power tilt/telescope leather wrapped wood trimmed
steering wheel, and heated power seats.
