LX470
The full-size
LX470 is essentially a more-luxuriously equipped version of the Toyota Land
Cruiser, and it proceeds for 2005 with only minor changes. It comes powered by a
235-horsepower 4.7-liter V-8 engine that's mated to a five-speed automatic
transmission and a rugged full-time four-wheel-drive system. Four-wheel-disc
anti-lock brakes, Vehicle Skid Control, a limited-slip rear differential and an
adjustable-height adaptive suspension are standard for maximum performance on or
off the road. A long list of included amenities includes a rear backup video
camera, automatic front and rear air conditioning, a navigation system, with a
wireless telephone interface, a CD changer, heated automatic-dimming side
mirrors, heated leather seats and rain-sensing windshield wipers. An optional
Night View system helps drivers to see the road ahead that's beyond the range of
the car's low-beam headlamps.
