In most respects, the IS F has a lot in common with the other IS models, though some aluminum-look trim, two-tone interior trim, and piano-black finishes make it a little more distinct on the inside. For 2011, an F-Sport package will add much of the IS F appearance to the somewhat more practical (and more affordable) IS sedans—including its sport seats, sport suspension, dark graphite alloy wheels, a sport steering wheel, and additional trim throughout.
What still separates the IS F from the rest is its 5.0-liter V-8, making 416 horsepower and 371 pound-feet of torque, hooked to the rear wheels through an eight-speed direct-shift automatic transmission that includes steering-wheel paddle-shifters. The model can hit 60 mph in just 4.6 seconds and reach 168 mph.
