ES330
The Toyota-Camry-based ES330 continues for 2005 with freshened exterior and interior styling. Cosmetic updates include a redesigned front grille that now incorporates horizontal bars and revised head- and taillamps. Interior changes are subtle, with new color combinations offered and a choice of either Burled Walnut and Golden Bird's Eye Maple wood trim on the dashboard, center console, and doors. In addition, a new steering wheel includes integrated audio and central-display controls, voice activation features are added to the ES330's optional navigation system, and the car's audio system now offers satellite radio compatibility. Last year, Lexus' entry-level front-drive midsize sedan got a boost in power, thanks to its 225-horsepower 3.3-liter V-6 engine, which prompted the upgrade to the designation ES330. A five-speed-automatic transmission is standard, along with anti-lock brakes, front side airbags, traction control, dual-zone automatic air conditioning, an AM/FM-cassette/CD stereo, power heated mirrors, moonroof, and seats, and keyless entry. Vehicle Skid Control, an adaptive suspension, and ventilated seats are optional.
