Range Rover
The full-size
Range Rover luxury sport-utility vehicle continues with few updates for 2005 in
what is only its third generation in over three decades. Power comes via a
282-horsepower V-8 engine that's mated to a five-speed CommandShift automatic
transmission and a sophisticated four-wheel-drive system. A height-adjustable
air suspension system keeps the ride smooth over rugged terrain and potholed
pavement. Nearly every electronic chassis system even invented enhances the
vehicle's handling and stability. Last year a limited-production Westminster
Edition was added to the line that included 20-inch alloy wheels and all-terrain
tires, and offered a unique interior treatment trimmed in rich hardwoods and
leather dashboard accents.
