Land Rover's mid-price, mid-size luxury sport-utility vehicle borrows key styling cues from its larger showroom companion, the Range Rover. For 2007, formerly optional features including leather trimmed upholstery, a power glass sunroof, a 240-watt harman/kardon sound system and steering wheel touch controls become standard equipment. One-touch windows, a power lumbar adjustment for the driver's seat and "three-flash" turn signal indicator have also been made standard. V-8 SEs have been upgraded with a standard third-row seat, rear air conditioning controls, rear park distance control, front fog lights, headlight washers, rain sensing wipers, auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror, Homelink  garage door opener and puddle and footwell lights. Three models are offered for 2007: the base V-6 SE is powered by a 210-hp 4.0-liter V-6, and there are two V-8-powered models, the sport-themed SE and the luxury-oriented HSE. The latter two get a 4.4-liter, 300-horsepower V-8.  A four-corner independent height-adjustable air suspension and Land Rover’s exclusive Terrain Response system have been made standard across the range for the new model year. Four-wheel drive with a central-locking differential that engages when conditions warrant maximum grip comes standard, as do traction and stability control. The LR3 rides on an independent double-wishbone suspension, with height-adjustable rear air springs. Both rows of rear seats can fold into the floor to maximize the LR3's cargo-carrying abilities. Front side and side curtain airbags, along with many amenities are standard.
