Gallardo
The seductively styled Gallardo sports coupe is built in partnership with Germany's Audi
and rides on a lightweight aluminum body and space frame. The Gallardo's
40-valve, 5.0-liter V-10 engine is longitudinally mounted at the rear of the
vehicle and produces a forceful 493 horsepower. A six-speed manual transmission
is standard, while a sequential shifter that uses paddles located on the
steering wheel to change gears is also available. All-wheel drive and electronic stability control
come standard, as does a long list of performance, comfort and convenience
features. The car continues with only minor updates for 2005 and is built and
sold in limited numbers to well-heeled enthusiasts for both on-road and racing
use.
