Updated inside and
out for 2005, Jeep's compact Liberty sport-utility vehicle gets a new front
fascia, elliptical headlamps, fog lamps, fender flares and integrated bodyside
moldings. The top Renegade version now features a flattened hood and taller

engine is newly offered for 2005 that produces 160 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of
torque. A 150-horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine remains the standard
powerplant, while an optional 3.7-liter V-6 delivers a quicker and smoother 210
horses. Four-wheel disc brakes now come standard, and a six-speed-manual
transmission is newly available.
