XK Series
Fashioned after the automaker's legendary XKE models from the 1960s, this stylish low-slung luxury coupe and convertible combo comes in two varieties - sporty and sportier. They're surprisingly comfortable once you manage to climb into their low-to-the-ground cabins and offer ample overall performance. The standard XK8 version comes with a 294-horsepower V-8 engine, while the top XKR model offers a lustier 390-horsepower supercharged version and assorted performance upgrades. 2005 updates include a new front bumper on the XK8 that sits below a new lower intake opening, and a full-width grille splitter. The side sills have been revised, the rear bumpers are deeper and the car's wheels are redesigned. The XKR likewise enjoys a new front-end treatment that's highlighted by mesh positioned outside the grille with no visible bumper bars. In addition, the XKR gets an automatic speed limiter that works in coordination with the vehicle's cruise control system.
