QX56
Based on the Nissan Armada, this full-size luxury SUV comes wrapped in more dignified exterior styling cues and rides on a slightly softer suspension than its Nissan equivalent. The only available powertrain is a 315-horsepower 5.6-liter V-8 engine and five-speed automatic transmission. Both rear- and four-wheel-drive versions are available. The QX56 includes standard front side and side-curtain airbags, four-wheel disc anti-lock brakes with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution and Brake Assist, Vehicle Dynamic Control, and limited-slip traction control. A laser-guided cruise control system, rearview video backup monitor, and a DVD entertainment system are among its available high-tech features. For 2006, power folding outside mirrors with integrated turn signal indicators, a 60/40-split folding rear seat, a Bluetooth hands-free phone, and MP3 audio capability are all added as standard equipment.
