Infiniti's comfortable and stylish crossover vehicle continues for 2007 with only a few changes, including high-luster 18-inch wheels on the FX35, power-folding sideview mirrors on the FX45 and an available iPod plug-in and new seat belt reminder system. The rated horsepower of the 3.5-liter V-6 in the FX35 has been downrated slightly to 275 horsepower from 280, while the FX45's 4.5 liter V-8 picks up 5 horsepower, for 320 vs. 315 in '06. Both versions get a standard five-speed electronically controlled automatic transmission with manual shift mode and Infiniti's Downshift Rev Matching system. The FX45 comes standard with all-wheel drive, while the FX35 can be had as a base front-drive version.
All 2007 FX models come standard with an 11-speaker, 300-watt Bose audio system, RearView Monitor with 7-inch LCD display, leather trim and power tilt/telescope steering wheel. The FX45 further adds 20-inch rims (replacing the standard 18-inch rims on the FX35), chrome window moldings and polished aluminum roof rails, power folding sideview mirrors, plus wood and aluminum cabin trim, Four-wheel-disc brakes with anti-lock control, traction control and a side/curtain airbag system are standard safety features. A Lane Departure Warning (LDW) system, Intelligent Key and Intelligent Cruise Control with Preview Braking are available for '07 as well.
