Hyundai's front-drive sport coupe gets redesigned front and rear fascias, new headlights, taillights, hood, front fenders and exhaust tips for 2007. Interior updates include blue backlit gauges and gunmetal accents and standard MP3 capability for the audio system. SE models get a more aggressive, "track-tuned" suspension system, cross-drilled brake rotors with larger, 12-inch rotors and stability control with Brake Assist and traction control. All '07 Tiburons get a standard tire pressure monitoring system. Four trim levels are offered for 2007: base GS, SE, GT and GT limited. Base GS models get a 138-horsepower, 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with a standard five-speed manual transaxle. The SE and GT versions come with a 2.7-liter V-6 rated at 172 horsepower; GT versions offer the five-speed manual transmission or optional four-speed Shiftronic automatic with manual gear-change function, while SE versions get a standard six-speed manual transmission. Air conditioning, side-impact airbags and anti-lock brakes are standard on all trim levels. The Tiburon V-6 is priced competitively relative to other V-6 sporty coupes and both four and six-cylinder versions offer sporty styling and driving fun in a modestly priced package.
