Tiburon
The front-drive Tiburon subcompact sports coupe adds a new top-of-the-line leather-trimmed GT Limited version for 2006. It continues to offer wild exterior styling and performance on a budget in both four-cylinder and V-6-powered versions. A 140-horsepower 2.0-liter in-line-four-cylinder powerplant is standard with the base model, and can be fitted to either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic gearbox. Handling is crisp, though the interior can be claustrophobic for all but the smallest riders. The GT versions come packed with a 181-horsepower 2.7-liter V-6 engine, and offer the choice of either a standard six-speed stick shift or the four-speed automatic. All Hyundais are backed by a five-year/60,000-mile comprehensive warranty, with ten-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain coverage.
