The Scaglietti is a large, four-seat GT coupe that comes in standard and F1 forms. It replaced the 456M in Ferrari's lineup and is intended to offer both exotic car performance as well as a very high level of luxury. It comes standard with a 5.7-liter V-12 engine that develops 540 horsepower. The standard cars comes with a conventional six-speed manual transmission but buyers can choose the F1 version, which is equipped with a race-style "clutchless" manual transmission which uses computer controls to engage and disengage the clutch. The 612 comes heavily equipped with standard amenities, including a power trunk closer and premium Bose audio system. An auto-damping suspension system, ultra performance wheels and tires (18-inches up front, larger 19 inch wheels in back), high-capacity disc brakes with ABS, traction control and stability control are also included. The 612 can be ordered with a DVD navigation system, Park Assist, run-flat tires and fitted luggage.
