This retro hot-rod styled four-door wagon and convertible were updated for 2006, so changes for 2007 are modest and include a newly standard soft-touch electric lift gate and three new color choices — Pastel Yellow Clear Coat, Tangerine Pearl Coat, and Opal Pearl Coat. The PT is otherwise a carryover for 2006. It remains available in base, Touring, Limited, and GT trim levels and coupe or convertible body styles. A 150 horsepower 2.4-liter in-line four-cylinder engine is standard, with a 180-horsepower turbocharged version optional. Standard on the top GT versions is a high-output turbocharged 2.4-liter engine with 230 horsepower. The GT also includes a heavy-duty five-speed Getrag manual transaxle, sport suspension, larger 17-inch wheels and tires, and other upgrades; a new body-colored spoiler on the liftgate is said to improve the GT’s aerodynamics. A 368-watt Boston Acoustics premium sound system with MP3 capability is available, as are Sirius satellite radio, 17-inch wheels and side-impact airbags.
