The Corvette continues for ’07 with incremental updates, including new steering wheel-mounted audio controls now included with Bose premium audio systems, a larger glovebox, an available two-tone seat package with crossed flag embroidery and contrasting stitching, and a new Atomic Orange Metallic Tintcoat exterior paint color. Otherwise, the Corvette carries over for 2007. As before, it is available in coupe, convertible, and high-performance Z06 forms. The standard coupe and convertible offer a 6.0-liter, 400 horsepower V-8 and six-speed manual transmission, with six-speed automatic available optionally. The automatic features F1-style paddle shifters on the steering wheel. The Z06 continues with the 7.0-liter, 505-horsepower engine and comes only with a six-speed manual transmission. In addition to the more potent engine, Z06 models also get a lighter-weight magnesium front cradle, carbon-fiber composite front fenders and wheelhouses, a unique front fascia and rear spoiler, wider rear fenders, enhanced suspension, brake and exhaust systems, larger wheels and tires, and engine, transmission, and differential oil coolers with a power-steering cooler. A Z51 package is also available that adds crossed-drilled brake rotors and firmer suspension calibrations. Selective Ride Control is also offered.
