Taking its final bow before riding off into automotive oblivion (along with its longtime showroom companion, the Regal), the mid-size Century continues for an abbreviated 2005 model-year run.
While it's essentially being replaced by the all-new LaCrosse, the Century will remain in the line for a short time for dealers to sell at an attractive price while production and distribution ramps up on the new model, and for fleet sales.
Power continues to come from a 3.1-liter V-6 engine, which drives the front wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission. As before, a full range of power accessories come standard in Standard, Custom, and Limited versions. A Special Edition package for 2005 includes dual-zone automatic climate control, 16-inch chrome-plated aluminum wheels and touring tires, anti-lock brakes, and specific badging.
