Land Rover, Honda, Acura Among The Big Winners At Car Advertising Awards

Follow Richard

The North American International Auto Show is in full swing, and as with every auto show, a slew of awards are being given out on the convention center floor. Yesterday morning, the Honda Civic and the Volvo XC90 were named the 2016 North American Car and Truck of the Year, and later that afternoon, the One Club doled out its own set of trophies for excellence in advertising.

To do that, the One Club reviewed hundreds of advertisements from around the globe, which were grouped into seven categories: broadcast TV, online video, interactive, experiential, print and outdoor, corporate social responsibility, and dealer ads.

Like a lot of awards given for creative endeavors -- movies, TV shows, blank verse -- many of the winners aren't well known by the general public. Heck, we write about this stuff every day, and we were unfamiliar with most of the One Club's top picks. But the quality of these campaigns is unmistakable. Follow the links below to see them yourself.
