When Uber and Lyft debuted, analysts praised the opportunities they offered. Anyone with a car and a smartphone could earn extra cash or even make a living, on their own schedule.
The Ford Focus family of compact cars is the best-selling nameplate in the world, and it fits right into the U.S. market, too. With a wide choice of engines, a sporty design, and extremely well-tuned ride-and-handling attributes no matter which model in the lineup you head to, it's a compact that will entirely erase any undesirable small-car impressions.
Back in July, we told you that Mitsubishi planned to stop building vehicles in the U.S. and sell off its only North American manufacturing facility. Unfortunately, the company hasn't yet found a buyer for the plant, and it now appears that the site could be closed for good.

Ladies and gentlemen, it appears the first photo of the all-new Lincoln Continental has surfaced, ahead of the car’s likely debut at next week’s 2016 Detroit Auto Show.
The Chevrolet Camaro is redesigned for the 2016 model year, and we like it...a lot. In fact, we like it so much that we named the Camaro SS the Motor Authority Best Car To Buy 2016. A new platform derived from the Cadillac ATS stiffens the body and cuts weight by at least 223 pounds.
Anyone in the market for a mid-size sedan with a reasonable price tag and plenty of powertrain options will be wise to check out the Ford Fusion.

The Honda Accord Hybrid has the highest fuel-economy rating of any mid-size hybrid sedan: 47 mpg combined. That's better than any other competitor now on sale, including hybrid models of the Ford Fusion, Hyundai Sonata, Kia Optima, and Toyota Camry.
The electric motorcycle industry continues to mature as Zero Motorcycles leads the way with the highest sales and most models. Zero added two new bikes to its lineup for 2016, and its prices have come down while performance has gone up.
For the past few years, Tesla Motors has fought battles with franchised car dealers over its direct-sales model on a state-by-state basis. Feeling threatened by Tesla's company-owned stores, state auto dealer associations have campaigned against the carmaker, in some cases pursuing legislation to outlaw direct sales.
