Last week, Prius owners sued Toyota over its pricey pre-collision safety system -- a system dubbed such a complete flop that the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety won't even bother rating it. Coincidentally, Toyota also made two announcements last week intended to rebuild its reputation for safety.
Toyota is recalling several conventional and hybrid vehicles from the 2013 and 2014 model years. The official list includes the 2013-2014 Camry and Camry Hybrid; the 2013 Avalon and Avalon Hybrid; and the 2014 Corolla.
