Sporting an all-new look, an upgraded and redesigned chassis plus more equipment options, the 2014 Lexus IS that goes on sale this summer has another draw for consumers: pricing that is lower than the outgoing model.
Specifically, the 2014 Lexus IS 250 with rear-wheel drive (RWD) carries a starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $35,950. With all-wheel drive (AWD), the starting price is $38,485. The IS 250 is powered by a 204-horsepower 2.5-liter V-6 engine.

Moving up to the Lexus IS 350 RWD, the pricing begins at $39,465, while the IS 350 AWD starts at $41,700. Power for the IS 350 comes from a 306-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 engine.
All prices exclude the $895 delivery charge.
Standard and optional equipment
The roster of standard equipment includes more than $1,400 in previously optional equipment. The list of standard features includes dual-zone climate control, a color 4.2-inch TFT multi-information display, HID headlamps, L-shaped LED daytime running lights, Drive Mode Select, paddle shifters, a next-generation Remote Touch Interface and Display Audio. All 2014 Lexus IS models are equipped with 10 standard airbags.
As for available options, these include: a backup monitor ($350), power rear sunshade ($210), intuitive park assist ($500), variable gear ratio steering ($400), two 18-inch wheel packages, one with all-season tires, one with summer tires (both $935), and two navigation system choices ($2,085 and navigation with Mark Levinson sound system for $3,225).

Three packages are also available for the 2014 Lexus IS, as follows:
- Premium - $1,050 in IS 250/IS 350 RWD; $610 in IS 250/IS 350 AWD
- Luxury - $3,665 in IS 250/IS 350 RWD; $3,225 in IS 250/IS 350 AWD
- F Sport - $3,115 in IS 250 RWD; $2,675 in IS 250 AWD, $3,620 in IS 350 RWD and $3,180 in IS 350 AWD
Lexus says that the F Sport package is revamped for the 2014 model year, sporting a unique full-mesh grille and front bumper, LED headlamps,18-inch split five-spoke wheels, a more aggressive sport-tuned suspension and front sport seats.
