Nearly every automaker is now on Twitter at this point, and frankly using Twitter isn't that hard. Most companies use it for customer service, engaging new customers, and even teasing new product. But getting creative and unique is becoming increasingly difficult. Smart of Argentina seems to have its creative juices flowing as it released what may be perhaps the coolest thing on Twitter from any automaker.
If you visit Smart of Agentina's Twitter profile, you'll be greeted by a lot of "ASCII art" - art made from computer characters. Sure, this is completely geeky, but it's also awesome. If you scroll down the page you'll find a flip-book style cartoon of a Smart driving along a city road.
Forget all the cheesy hashtags and questions about where you are driving your [insert car brand here] to. This campaign sticks to one concept: keep it simple. If you haven't figured out what Smart is all about yet, this campaign should clue you in to the brand's ethos.
We commend Smart of Argentina for keeping it fun and simple, not to mention unique.
