Chrysler is recalling certain 2012 model year Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan minivans over concerns about a defect that may cause the right rear wheels to fall off.
A notice on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) site lists the number of potential affected units at just 289. Affected vehicles were manufactured from November 15, 2011 through November 21, 2011.

At issue is the fact that some vehicles may be equipped with right rear wheel hub and bearing assemblies that were not fully machined.
Documentation from Chrysler (PDF) indicates that the incomplete machining operation could result in a decrease in extended mileage durability, leading to the wheel coming off and increasing crash risk.
Chrysler said that it is not aware of any accidents or injuries related to this condition.
What Chrysler will do
Chrysler will notify owners of affected vehicles and dealers will replace the right rear hub and bearing assembly at no charge. The Chrysler safety recall is expected to begin during April 2012.
