In keeping with the current practice of releasing teaser photos in advance of major auto shows, Chevrolet offers glimpses of two important family vehicles that will appear in their full reveal at the 2012 New York Auto Show in early April: the 2014 Impala sedan and the 2013 Traverse crossover.
2014 Chevrolet Impala
Of course, “teaser” is exactly appropriate when it comes to the shot of the 2014 Chevrolet Impala full-size sedan. First introduced in 1958, the Chevy Impala has been one of the brand’s best-selling models, although losing some momentum recently to newer bow-tie entries such as the compact Chevy Cruze.
Now, it’s time for the 10th-generation Impala to make its debut, and no doubt families looking for a comfortable, safe and stylish full-size sedan will be eager to take a good look. As our sister publication TheCarConnection points out, the new Impala is expected to share the stretched Epsilon platform underpinning the 2013 Cadillac XTS luxury sedan. Look for the announcement of four- and six-cylinder engines, and perhaps even an Eco model, a la Malibu Eco, featuring mild-hybrid technology.

2013 Chevrolet Traverse
The family-oriented Chevrolet Traverse hasn’t been out that long, but it’s already getting a refresh. That’s key to keeping the crossover fresh in the eyes of consumers. What we get in looking at the teaser photo Chevy released shows an interior that looks a whole lot more inviting than the current model, and that’s likely welcome news to buyers who want a little more luxe in the family hauler.
No, it’s not a Cadillac, but the Chevy Traverse is capable, safe, roomy and affordable. Stay tuned for more details when the 2013 Chevrolet Traverse appears at the 2012 New York Auto Show in a couple of weeks.
