Consumers may be somewhat used to teaser photos released by automakers in advance of major auto show debuts of new products, but the latest in this nebulous array of “sneak peeks,” that of the 2013 Buick Enclave, is anything but revealing.
And that’s probably the point. With the eerie Aurora Borealis-like lighting, the photo presaging the full reveal of the 2013 Buick Enclave full-size luxury family crossover at the 2012 New York Auto Show shows precious few discernible details. What we get, instead, is a glimpse into the all-new cabin of the big crossover.
MotorAuthority has more details on the facelifted 2013 Buick Enclave, what little is known so far, so head over there to check it out.
Highlights of the redesigned Enclave include, on the inside, wraparound-style ambient lighting, what appears to be a new infotainment system and HVAC controls. Look for minor exterior changes, including revised lights, maybe a new bumper design and new wheel choices.
Buick, in releasing the official teaser image, says that the 2013 Enclave will include “industry-exclusive” safety technology as well as modern design updates. Of importance to family buyers, one of these safety technology advances is the latest version of the industry-first front-center airbag, which also appears on the 2013 GMC Acadia and Chevrolet Traverse. But on the Enclave, according to reports, the front-center airbag will be standard.
Look for more details during the Enclave’s actual reveal at next month’s New York Auto Show.
