2012 Toyota Prius
Elsewhere on the Toyota lot, we find the RAV4 compact SUV. The 2012 model will see a range of upgrades, including a new, Bluetooth-enabled audio system that pairs with mobile phones to offer hands-free calling.
The 2012 RAV four offers a wide range of choices for consumers. It comes in three trim levels -- base, Sport, and Limited -- and each is available with either a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine or a 269 hp 3.5-liter V6. To make the possibilities a little more dizzying, those powertrains can come with either front-wheel drive or electronic on-demand four-wheel-drive, with four-speed or five-speed automatic transmission.
Folks who purchase the Limited model will have even more available perks, including an optional third seat and a souped-up infotainment stack that offers a 6.1-inch touch-screen, iTunes Tagging, Toyota's Entune app/multimedia system, and a three-month trial subscription to SiriusXM.
Pricing for the 2012 RAV4 starts at $22,650 for the base model with front-wheel drive and four-speed automatic transmission. (That's a modest 0.8% bump over 2011.) At the top of the line, we find the fully blinged Limited V6 with four-wheel drive and five-speed transmission, which rings in at $28,650, or a decrease of 0.5% compared to 2011.
The 2012 Toyota RAV4 arrives at dealerships today, December 20.
