With the end of the year in sight, families that are in urgent need of a new vehicle, but don’t want to spend more than $20,000, have a number of choices available.
True, the ones that meet that price-point are the base models, and most come equipped with a manual transmission, but there can be bargains for consumers willing to do their homework.

If the absence of other mid-size sedans is noticeable, for example, the Hyundai Sonata, Subaru Legacy, Ford Fusion, Volkswagen Passat, and Kia Optima, along with the compact Jeep Patriot Sport SUV, and the Mazda Mazda5 minivan, that’s because with destination charge factored in, the net price exceeds the $20,000 price target.
