Taking a look at another luxury crossover category, the five-passenger 2012 Cadillac SRX has an available Bose 5.1 Surround Sound system with ten speakers that have been customized for the SRX’s interior. The system includes an integrated USB port to enable playing music and charging media devices without the need for special adapters. The USB port is just like that found on personal computers. Steering wheel-mounted controls permit easy control and selection of music without taking your hands off the wheel. There’s a single-slot CD player, and the system also includes pause-and-play radio. This is like having a built-in DVR for the radio, allowing you to pause live radio, including Sirius XM Radio, record up to 20 minutes of audio, and play it back at a later time. The capability remains even after the SRX is turned off. So, you can stop, get a quick bite or refuel, all the while the system is recording the ball game or whatever, and when you get back in, resume playing the audio from where you left off.  The Bose 5.1 Surround Sound system is a $2,395 option on Luxury front-wheel drive (FWD) and Luxury all-wheel drive (AWD) and is standard on Performance and Premium trims in FWD and AWD. Pricing for the 2012 Cadillac SRX Luxury FWD and Luxury AWD is from $40,590 and $43,085, respectively. Performance trim begins at $44,405 (FWD) and $47,215 (AWD), while Premium starts at $46,850 and $49,660 for FWD and AWD, respectively.
