2013 Infiniti JX Concept
As promised, following seven weeks of teaser shots, Infiniti took the wraps off the 2013 Infiniti JX Concept at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance August 18.
By all accounts, the JX Concept is a fairly accurate representation of the actual production version of the 2013 Infiniti JX luxury seven-passenger family crossover, which will debut at the 2011 Los Angeles Auto Show in November and goes on sale in the spring of 2012.

Infiniti expects the three-row luxury crossover market to be a “huge opportunity” for the brand, especially since it’s one of the fastest-growing segments today. With ambitions to be the class leader, Infiniti aims to fill those aspirations by offering best-in-class interior room, a second row that tilts and slides forward for easier third-row access, a 14-speaker Bose sound system, Infiniti Connection Telematics, and Infiniti Personal Assistant, a personal concierge service standard with every Infiniti vehicle from 2012 forward.
The JX, available in front-wheel and all-wheel drive, will have V-6 power, although full details won’t be available until November’s Los Angeles Auto Show debut. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) will be standard in all JX models, with an available Sport mode.
Infiniti is also aiming high with the JX in terms of safety technology. Two proactive safety systems that will be available are Blind Spot Intervention and Backup Collision Intervention, the latter of which can engage the brakes to prevent collisions when the vehicle’s transmission is in reverse.
