Mazda Poised To Take Zoom-Zoom To The Mainstream? Page 2

2012 Mazda3 SkyActiv 2.0

SkyActiv destined for most Mazdas

Every single one of Mazda's vehicles built on front-wheel-drive architecture will get the entire SkyActiv suite—this whole toolbox—in their next full redesign. While the SkyActuv technologies have already made their world debut in the Japanese-market Mazda Demio (what we call the Mazda2), they will first debut in the U.S. this October (the powertrain portion of them, that is) in the 2012 Mazda3. Full-vehicle developments from SkyActiv—including all the body improvements, weight reductions, and reconfigured chassis/suspension—will first come to full fruition in the 2013 Mazda CX-5, slated to make its debut next year.

By focusing on getting greener yet not losing sight of how the end product should drive, Mazda looks poised to take zoom-zoom to the mainstream.
