2012 Infiniti FX
The Infiniti FX luxury family crossover gets some styling and other updates for the 2012 model year.
Subtle styling changes are inspired by the 2009 Infiniti Essence Concept, along with some new additions to trim levels. Specifically, the 2012 Infiniti FX sports a revised grille and bumper design, new main instrument cluster gauges, standard front heated seats in all models, and the introduction of a new Limited Edition FX35 AWD (all-wheel-drive) model.
Special features in the Limited Edition include an exclusive Iridium Blue exterior color, 21-inch 10-spoke dark finish aluminum-alloy turbine wheels, Infiniti hard drive navigation system, and Around View monitor.
Enhancements to the rest of the 2012 Infiniti FX line include a new exterior color, Graphite Shadow, which replaces Platinum Graphite, a new 20-inch wheel design and quilted leather climate-controlled front seats for the FX35 Deluxe Touring Package. The FX50 Sport Package now adds adaptive headlights.
There are no major powertrain changes for the 2012 Infiniti FX35 and FX50, with the FX35 again powered by the 303-horsepower 3.5-liter V-6 and the FX50 retaining its 390-horsepower 5.0-liter V-8. Both engines are paired with a standard seven-speed automatic transmission with adaptive shift control and available magnesium paddle shifters.
All-wheel drive is standard on the FX50, while the FX35 is offered in either rear-wheel or all-wheel-drive configurations.
The 2012 Infiniti FX goes on sale in October.
